摘要: To investigate the evolutionary history of mesoderm in bilaterian lineage, we are studying development polychaete annelid, Capitella sp. I, a representative lophotrochozoan. In this study, focus on Twist and Snail families as candidate mesodermal patterning genes report isolation situ expression patterns two twist homologs (CapI-twt1 CapI-twt2) snail (CapI-sna1 CapI-sna2) I. CapI-twt1 is expressed subset derivatives during larval development, while CapI-twt2 shows more general at same stages. Neither gene detected before completion gastrulation. The have very distinct patterns. At cleavage early gastrula stages, CapI-sna1 broadly precursors all three germ layers becomes restricted to cells around closing blastopore late gastrulation; CapI-sna2 not these After gastrulation, both developing central nervous system (CNS) stages when neural precursor internalized, also laterally within segmental mesoderm. Based suggest putative function for I differentiation regulating CNS cell migration
