摘要: Vestibular compensation is a recovery process from vestibular symptoms over time after unilateral loss of peripheral end organs. The aim the present study was to observe time-dependent changes in long-term potentiation (LTP) at Schaffer collateral-CA1 synapses CA1 area hippocampus during compensation. input-output (I/O) relationships fEPSP amplitudes and LTP induced by theta burst stimulation Schaffer's collateral commissural fibers were evaluated hippocampal slices 1 day, week, month labyrinthectomy (UL). I/O fEPSPs significantly reduced within week post-op then showed non-significant reduction UL. Compared with sham-operated animals, there significant induction day However, levels also returned those animals following These data suggest that injury organs results transient deficit synaptic plasticity acute stages
