摘要: Exposure to diverse cultures and higher socio-economic status (SES) may increase knowledge of a wide variety stimuli, including food, be negatively associated with food neophobia. We contrasted questionnaire responses from two groups Australian high school students (aged 12-18 years) remote rural (rural, n=243) cosmopolitan urban (city, n=696) locations the neophobia scale (FNS), familiarity certain foods willingness try those foods. City less neophobic than (mean FNS scores 29.35 versus 34.68, p<0.001). also significantly more familiar different willing unfamiliar foods, had greater exposure cultural diversity.
