摘要: The blueshifted broad absorption lines (BAL) or troughs are observed in active galactic nuclei (AGNs) when our line of sight is intercepted by a high-speed outflow (wind), likely originating the accretion disc. wind can shed light on internal structure obscured AGN torus. Recently, it has been shown that this rotating BAL quasar PG 1700+518, further supporting disc origin wind. With purpose giving independent constraints geometry, we performed high-resolution European very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) Network (EVN) observations at 1.6 GHz 2010. Combining results with Very Large Array (VLA) archival data 8.4 GHz, present its jet scales parsec (pc) to kiloparsec (kpc) for first time. source shows two distinct features east-west direction separation around 4 kpc. eastern feature, which so far assumed hide core, kpc-scale hotspot, completely resolved out EVN image. In western find compact component, pinpoints position central black hole galaxy. Jet components both sides core additionally detected north-west-south-east direction, and they show symmetric morphology scale < 1 This two-sided feature not common known quasars indicates axis away from sight. Furthermore, nearly parallel scattering plane revealed earlier optical polarimetry. By analogy polar-scattered Seyfert galaxies, conclude viewing angle 45 degrees. supported recent report significant cold soft X-rays, unique galaxies. Finally, have confirmed finding majority radio emission galaxy arises activity rather than star formation.
