摘要: Background Gait characteristics measured at usual pace may allow profiling in patients with cognitive problems. The influence of age, gender, leg length, modified speed or dual tasking is unclear. Methods Cross-sectional analysis was performed on a data registry containing demographic, physical and spatial-temporal gait parameters recorded five walking conditions GAITRite® electronic carpet community-dwelling older persons memory complaints. Four stages were studied: cognitively healthy individuals, mild impaired patients, dementia advanced patients. Results The association between the most prominent: entire study population using speed, steps per meter (translation for mean step length), swing time variability, normalised (corrected length) all conditions; 50-to-70 years old participants applying width fast pace; 70-to-80 pace, animal walk counting over-80 dual-task walking. Multivariable logistic regression adjusted gender predicted two compiled models presence impairment acceptable accuracy complaints. Conclusion multiple length showed significant impairment. This suggested that multifactorial could be more informative than only one test variable. Using this type clinical practice facilitate screening
