摘要: Divergence is a key aspect of translation between two languages. occurs when structurally similar sentences the source language do not translate into that are in structures target language. assumes special significance domain Example-Based Machine Translation (EBMT). An EBMT system generates given sentence by retrieving past examples from its example base and then adapting them suitably to meet current requirements. imposes great challenge success EBMT. The present work provides technique for identification divergence without going semantic details underlying sentences. This helps partitioning database / non-divergence categories, which turn should facilitate efficient retrieval adaptation an system.
