摘要: Twelve eulachon (Thaleichthys pacificus, Osmeridae) populations ranging from Cook Inlet, Alaska and along the west coast of North America to Columbia River were examined by restriction-site-associated DNA (RAD) sequencing elucidate patterns neutral adaptive variation in this high geneflow species. A total 4104 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) discovered across genome, with 193 putatively SNPs as determined FST outlier tests. Estimates population structure similar, but provided greater resolution stocks compared a panel 3911 or previous estimates 14 microsatellites. cline increasing measures genetic diversity south north was found panel, not markers (SNPs microsatellites). This may indicate divergent selective pressures differing freshwater marine environments between regional that these seen could be consideration when determining boundaries for conservation purposes. effective size (Ne) similar SNP microsatellites utilized monitor status where census sizes are difficult obtain. Greater differentiation higher individual assignment accuracy stock identification study presents first have been developed eulachon, analyses highlighted importance integrating genome-wide applications management.
