摘要: The large loop or blob-like transient events viewed in the white-light corona are rimmed by broad regions where density is slightly enhanced above pre-transient corona. Every one of Skylab studied for which sufficiently good coronagraph coverage available shows this effect. upper boundaries these ‘forerunners’ blend gradually into background 1 to ≥2R⊙ transients' leading edges. In any single event, coronal mass enhancement represented forerunner comprises up 25% total excess present coronagraph's field view and includes a much larger volume than previously attributed underlying transient. We have not yet seen without an accompanying Clearly, forerunners must be reckoned with proposed models discrete outward motions, because they indicate presence disturbed far ahead denser portions event.
