摘要: The ectoparasite community of the blackspot seabream, Pagellus bogaraveo, was studied in different locations Portuguese waters north-east Atlantic Ocean. This is first study to focus on ectoparasites this commercially important sparid fish. Nine species were detected. Gnathia sp., Aega deshaysiana, A. antillensis, Rocinela danmoniensis and Argulus sp. are reported for time host. Significant differences detected among sampling locations, with monogeneans being more prevalent mainland waters, crustaceans islands Madeira Azores. Fish from showed significantly higher infection levels all ectoparasites, especially crustaceans, particularly high prevalence Hatschekia pagellibogneravei. potential impact captive fish also discussed, since seabream a promising new marine aquaculture.
