摘要: Early defibrillation is critical for successful resuscitation of a sudden cardiac arrest patient. Defibrillators currently do not assess the patient's heartbeat or blood circulation and responder has to manually check pulse, procedure known be very inaccurate. Previously we had developed an ultrasound Doppler based approach determine presence flow in context resuscitation. Here extend our earlier work develop generalized pulsation index on spectral analysis signal. This new method advantage better distinguish between states pulse pulselessness, since it aims at capturing essentially non-sinusoidal behaviour activity. In turn, this leads sensitivity specificity pulsatile assessment. The was demonstrated data from pigs undergoing defibrillation. (4 pages)
