摘要: Recent findings from our laboratory highlight the role of modulation innate immune function and systemic inflammatory response in effectiveness balneotherapy rheumatic diseases, specifically elderly patients with osteoarthritis. Immune-neuroendocrine stress mediators are involved these effects. The 'bioregulatory effect balneotherapy' has also been recently proposed as a mechanism that consists reduction pro-inflammatory together achievement an optimal through stimulation (or at least lack impairment) defences against pathogens (i.e. phagocytosis, microbicide activity) mediated by neutrophils, generating immunophysiological adaptations balance between pro- anti-inflammatory responses which regulatory T cells seem to have crucial role. In present paper, we aim analyse main conclusions related how use peloids (pelotherapy) affects responses, constituting underlying proven clinical benefits this intervention. We introduce novel results regarding (phagocytic process) monocytes therapy, cell not yet studied context. Increased chemotaxis decline oxidative burst, without changes could be induced modality balneological
