摘要: The effect of media conditioned by muscle cells on the development in vitro chicken spinal neurons was studied. Neural tube 4.5-day embryos were dissociated after trypsinization and cultured serum-free minimum essential medium for 4 days over cultures fused myotubes. After 20 hr (protein concentration, 10--50 microgram/ml), about 50% surviving had extended neurites, whereas nonconditioned this value 10%. active factor(s) is macromolecular its activity completely destroyed incubation with trypsin. Concentrated samples analyzed gel filtration columns Sepharose CL-6B. recovered peaks apparent molecular weights 40,000 500,000 at exclusion volume column. Media neurite-promoting but lower levels. No detected Nerve Growth Factor, insulin, fetal calf serum, or horse serum lung, heart, C6 glioma cells.
