摘要: In this paper, we examine spatial resolution downscaling transcoding for H.264/AVC video coding. A number of advanced coding tools limit the applicability techniques, which were developed previous standards. We present a reduction architecture H.264/AVC, extends open-loop with low-complexity compensation technique in reduced-resolution domain. The proposed tackles problems and avoids visual artifacts transcoded sequence, while keeping complexity significantly lower than more traditional cascaded decoder---encoder architectures. refinement step can be used to further improve rate-distortion performance, at cost additional complexity. way, dynamic-complexity transcoder is rendered possible. thorough investigation related motion residual data mapping, leading solution resulting fully compliant reduced-size bitstreams.
