摘要: Whereas most membrane receptors are oligomeric entities, G-protein-coupled have long been thought to function as monomers. Within the last 15 years, accumulating data indicated that can form dimers or even higher ordered oligomers, but general functional significance of this phenomena is not yet clear. Among large receptor family, class C represent a well-recognized example constitutive dimers, both subunits being linked, in cases, by disulfide bridge. In review article, we show multidomain proteins and highlight importance their dimerization for activation. We illustrate several consequences terms specific properties drug development.
