摘要: An outbreak of canine infectious respiratory disease (CIRD) associated to pneumovirus (CnPnV) infection is reported. The occurred in a shelter the Apulia region and involved 37 out 350 dogs that displayed cough and/or nasal discharge with no evidence fever. full-genomic characterisation showed causative agent (strain Bari/100-12) was closely related CnPnVs have been recently isolated USA, as well murine pneumovirus, which responsible for mice. present study represents useful contribution knowledge pathogenic potential CnPnV its association CIRD dogs. Further studies will elucidate pathogenicity epidemiology this novel thus addressing eventual need specific vaccines.
