摘要: The present study was designed to evaluate the sleep pattern of rats submitted chronic stressors (restraint, electrical footshock, swimming and cold) applied male rats. After 48 h-baseline recording, were 4 days stress, electrocorticogram recordings carried out continuously. (footshock, twice a day for periods 1 h at 9:00 16:00 h. Restrained animals maintained in plastic cylinders 22 h/day. findings indicated that efficiency, slow wave (SWS) paradoxical (PS) decreased on third fourth unpredictable shocks compared baseline while immobilization presented reduced efficiency all 4-day recordings. Swimming led SWS, whereas augmented PS observed first baseline. Immobilization produced drastic alterations patterns since it SWS during relation Of stressors, cold only one did not result any statistical differences light periods. Regarding effect stress dark recordings, higher periods, footshock increased 2 2. throughout sessions. Thus, data suggest different modalities distinct responses, with producing most dramatic alterations.
