摘要: Abstract In this paper, a methodology for estimating solar potential on multiple building rooftops is presented. The objective of to estimate the daily or monthly energy individual buildings in city/region using light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data geographic information system (GIS) approach. Conceptually, based upward-looking hemispherical viewshed algorithm, but applied an area-based modeling considers input parameters, such as surface orientation, shadowing effect, elevation, atmospheric conditions that influence intensity earth surface. has been implemented some 212,000 Knox County, Tennessee, USA. Based results obtained, seems be adequate radiation rooftops. use LiDAR improves estimates terms model predictive error spatial pattern outputs. This could help cities/regions interested sustainable projects quickly identify with higher potentials roof-mounted photovoltaic systems.
