摘要: Summary Mesothelial/monocytic incidental cardiac excrescences (MICE) of the heart are rare benign entities that have only been diagnosed incidentally, following surgical procedure. To date, totally 35 cases reported in English literature. We describe an additional case MICE presenting with severe aortic regurgitation for valve replacement a 20-year-old Chinese male patient. On microscopic examination, findings initially were confused true neoplasm. However, related gross appearance, clinical history and further immunohistochemical staining enabled accurate diagnosis. review relevant literature found staining, especially anti-cytokeratin antibody (AE1/AE3) KP-1 (CD-68) used by most investigators previously, was significant while making diagnosis, because two components cells show contrast immunoreactivity to these makers. The pathologists should always be alert this entity diagnose surgery specimen.
