Singular and Local Optima in Layout Optimization

摘要: The major difficulty in problems having singular and local optima is that the solution process might converge to a non optimal design. In this paper, special circumstances lead these situations are discussed. Singular optima, encountered layout optimization of cross-sectional variables geometrical variables, demonstrated. It shown type optimum depends on chosen design preassigned parameters. addition, both types associated with different load paths or changes topology structure. effect various parameters (objective function coefficients, dimensions, parameters, allowable stresses, limits external loadings) illustrated.
