METHODS Data from Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) health center January 2004 December 2006 were analyzed correlate function and blood uric acid concentration. Patients divided into 5 groups according their serum concentration ( 10 mg/dl). According our laboratory data, elevated creatinine levels (> 1.3 mg/dL) indicated impaired function. RESULTS In total, there 5722 patients, including 2816 (49.2%) men 2906 (50.8%) women, a median age 67. Impaired was noted 307 (5.4%) cases. Serum significantly correlated urea nitrogen creatinine. Groups higher level had an increased risk CONCLUSION Our purpose this preliminary observation try define starting point the acid, order avoid development found that < 6 mg/dl seemed be associated less impairment.
