Low-temperature specific heat of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8: Comparison with some other layered oxides

摘要: Abstract The specific heat of crystals superconducting Bi 2 Sr CaCu O 8 in the range 2–5 K varies as γT + βT 3 , with γ = 7(2) mJ mol −1 −2 . A slight upturn C T is observed below K. low-temperature heats semiconducting copper oxide layer compound 14 Cu 24 41 and insulating sheet silicate KAl Si 10 (OH) (muscovite mica) are qualitatively similar, 100(5) 25(5) respectively. We infer that linear term not connected superconductivity; a likely origin localized electronic states associated oxygen vacancies.
