摘要: Publisher Summary Liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), or solvent extraction, is one of the oldest and most widely used techniques in preparation samples for qualitative quantitative analysis. This chapter summarizes principles underlying modern use LLE sample preparation. It discusses advantages disadvantages LLE. Compared to other batch-type phase-distribution techniques, offers large linear capacities. Advantage derives from vast body literature that provides information on choice organic solvent, pH type concentration reagents how these choices affect both selectivity necessary clean-up quantitativeness preconcentration analyte component. traditional “separatory funnel” segmented continuous flow injection (FIE) mode allows easy automation multi-reagent multi-step procedures. The emphasizes theoretical aspects LLE, an understanding which useful essential, designing, optimizing troubleshooting technique.
