摘要: A procedure for starting up a fuel cell system that is disconnected from its primary load and has both cathode anode flow fields filled with air includes initiating of through the field rapidly displacing in by delivering fresh hydrogen containing into field, thereafter connecting across cell. Sufficiently fast purging prior to cells eliminates need an inert gas, such as nitrogen, upon start-up.
