摘要: The invention is a start up system and method for fuel cell power plant (10) using purging of the cathode flow field (38) with hydrogen rich reducing fluid to minimize corrosion electrode (16). starting shut down includes steps of: a. fuel; b. then, directing through an anode (28); c. next, terminating oxygen containing oxidant (38); and, d. finally, connecting primary load (70) (12) so that electrical current flows from (70).
