Superconductivity of doped Ar@C60

摘要: A substantial amount of endohedral fullerene, Ar@C60 (>1 mg), was successfully obtained by heat treatment C60 powder under high pressure Ar atmosphere, followed sequential HPLC separation. The isolation pure demonstrated TOF-MS, 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. We report here the synthesis first fullerene superconductors, K3(Ar@C60) Rb3(Ar@C60) having critical temperatures about 18 27 K, respectively. decrease Tc (ΔTc) in both compared with pristine compounds (ΔTc >1 K >2 respectively) is rather large, implying that influence encapsulated atom on cage therefore to superconductivity its derivatives, more pronounced than expected. Indeed, synchrotron diffraction results showed, unexpectedly, have different unit cell parameters van der Waals radii.
