摘要: Many new methods for sampling down coarse woody debris have been proposed in the last dozen or so years. One of most promising terms field application, perpendicular distance (PDS), has several variants that progressively introduced literature. In this study, we provide an overview different PDS and comprehensive comparison their associated estimator performance. Additionally, two estimators are to existing pool. Simulations used determine efficiency competing protocols estimators. The simulation results corroborate theoreticalunbiasednessoftheestimatorsforPDSinallforms.Inaddition, whilethereissomedifferenceinvariance among protocols, overall difference is small, depends on attribute be estimated. Therefore, choice which variant use applications will depend conditions attributes
