Comparative Study of Intralesional Dexamethasone, Hyaluronidase and Oral Pentoxifylline in Patients with Oral Submucous Fibrosis

摘要: Back ground : Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) is characterized by excessive production of collagen leading to inelasticity the oral mucosa and atrophic changes epithelium. Aim study clinically evaluate efficacy Pentoxifylline 400 mg tablets in comparison intralesional injections Dexamethasone (4mg/ml) Hyaluronidase 1500 IU 0.5 ml Lignocaine 2% management OSF patients. Methodology The population consisted 40 male patients with OSF. Patients were divided into two groups. 20 are pentoxifylline group group. Group received twice daily for first 4 weeks thrice next 8 weeks. biweekly (4mg/ml), a period 12 Parameters taken burning sensation, mouth opening, tongue protrusion cheek flexibility.
