摘要: The leaf cell wall (CW) chemical composition of three maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids (salt-resistant SR 03 and 12, salt-sensitive Pioneer 3906) was investigated in the first phase salt stress (100 mm NaCl) compared with control (1 mm treatment to investigate whether changes CW were responsible for shoot growth reduction. Salt caused a strong inhibition concomitant increase ratio between dry mass (DM) fresh (FM) decrease cellulose concentrations all hybrids. NaCl large total non-methylated uronic acid (UA) 3906 salt-resistant 12. onset accumulation UA delayed which indicates that this may be one reason better performance hybrid under 3906. It is concluded low may, among other mechanisms, contribute resistance stress.
