摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine the relation between physical activity and mortality in a 7-year follow-up sample women more than 30 years age (N = 6,620) from Canada Fitness Survey cohort, which initiated 1981. Age-adjusted relative risks relating quartiles average daily energy expenditure (kilocalories per kilogram body weight day) were estimated using logistic regression. Compared with least active, risk all-cause 0.73 for those highest quartile (P trend 0.03). associations stronger cardiovascular disease (odds ratio 0.51; P 0.01) fatal myocardial infarction 0.61; 0.04) quartile. These relations due mainly contribution non-leisure (household chores) expenditure, represented, on average, 82% women's total activity. accompanying same cohort by Villeneuve et al reported estimates based subset leisure-time only, underestimates many (Villeneuve PJ, Morrison HI, Craig CL, Schaubel DE. Physical activity, fitness, dying. Epidemiology 1998;9;632-635). resulting bias illustrates importance including assessment data support hypothesis that is inversely associated death women.
