摘要: Abstract Energy Service Companies are one of the most promising sustainable business models that may support transition towards a more energy system and mitigate climate change. The existence multiple barriers in sercives industry market suggest public procurement is useful tool to promote these innovative models, reducing some extant barriers. This paper contributes empirically analyse role through case study seven Spanish regional municipal projects centred on Companies. based qualitative methodology, which combines analysis tenders eight in-depth interviews with managers efficiency projects. highly conditioned by large size awarded companies predominance construction sector, while participation small medium-sized enterprises limited. main insights gained this research point out importance Services achieve environmental economic goals. Finally, set recommendations uptake using offered. These collected guide differentiates five steps, from needs identification evaluation phase.
