Differential Diagnosis of Basal Cell Carcinoma and Benign Tumors of Cutaneous Appendages Originating from Hair Follicles by Using CD34

摘要: Background and Aims: Differential diagnosis of the group benign trichoblastomas, trichofolliculomas, trichoadenomas trichoepitheliomas, basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) is troublesome for clinician as well pathologist, especially when only small biopsy specimens are available. Here we investigated whether CD34 expression might be assistance. Methods: Thirty tumors cutaneous appendages originating from hair follicles (BTCOHF) 30 BCCs were retrieved our archives immunohistochemically stained. CD 34 was graded [0] to [2+] compared among groups subgroups. Results: There no significant difference between degree [1+] each group. However, immunopositivity BTCOHFs significantly stronger than in (p= 0.014). Conclusions: may contribute differential skin lesions.
