摘要: The PROFHER study is a multicenter randomized controlled trial of 250 out 1250 patients assessed for eligibility with dislocated proximal humeral fractures involvement the surgical neck. These were either surgery or conservative treatment. Patients comorbidities that precluded surgery, lack mental capacity, luxation clear indications from authors' perspective excluded. To evaluate outcome, standardized self-assessment methods used (patient reported outcome [PRO]), including Oxford shoulder score (OSS). results showed no differences in primary and secondary scores after both 2 5 years. Although significant could be detected between groups, statement deduced respect to which would benefit an operative Nevertheless, provides valuable important addition literature on this heavily debated topic. purpose review critically within existing regarding inclusion patients, fracture treatment evaluation results.
