摘要: The loss of plant agro-biodiversity is a global problem with repercussions on both humans and (agro-)ecosystems. This article presents the data census herbaceous landraces currently cultivated in Lombardy (Northern Italy), one most industrialized regions Europe, for which information was previously extremely limited. showed that 72 are (conserved farms) yet them threatened since they by small number farmers, mostly hobbyists. Only 11% have been subject scientific studies while 12.5% protected registered European Register Conservation Varieties. has lost about 78% its over last 70–80 years. nutritional characteristics four little-known maize region recently used creation niche food chains were also analyzed. They higher content protein (about 12.34%) phytic acid 1.35%), compared to hybrid (B73/Mo17), slightly poorer starch 77.85%), Mg Zn. Some these landraces, those coloured kernels due high concentration polyphenols, antioxidant activity makes interesting production nutraceutical foods. 2D-electrophoretic profiles highlighted different from another. Finally, some actions tools suggested favour situ conservation agro-biodiversity.
