A model for the FCC→HCP transformation, its applications, and experimental evidence

摘要: A model for the FCC→HCP transformation is proposed. It envisaged that dislocation reaction\({\overline 1 }\) may govern nucleation of six-layer HCP crystal. macroscopic region forms when these nuclei, located at different levels within a localized slipped region, growth into each other. The observed orientation dependence strain-induced martensite and coexistence twinned regions have been rationalized in terms proposed model. In addition, supporting evidence has developed by examining crystallographic features faulted partially transformed Co-6.25 wt pct Fe alloy transmission electron microscopy.
