摘要: Aim – To assess the relationship between mental health and health-related quality of life (HRQL) in general population, to map GHQ-12 as a screening test for population psychological distress generic state measure (EQ-5D) order estimate values allow deriving quality-adjusted years. Methods Relationship HRQL was examined from 2004 Canary Islands’ Health Survey. Participants were classified probable psychiatric cases according GHQ-12. measured by EQ-5D index. Multivariate lineal regression analysis used examine association adjusting socio-demographic variables comorbidities. A multivariate model built states using exposure. Results index scores decreased increased. Clinical factors influenced without changing overall trend this negative relationship. The equation explained 43% variance. For estimation utility scores, showed high predictive capacity, with mean forecast errors 16%. Conclusions progressively when probability being case Findings enable be derived populations where utilities has not or cannot directly.Declaration Interest: Authors declare no conflicts interest.
