摘要: The goal of this study was to appraise the extent unique content on disease-specific preference-based measures (DSPMs) when contrasted with EQ-5D using published studies and inform whether could be inadequate as a utility measure in its coverage for given application. A structured search literature performed PubMed EMBASE/Medline database from Jan 1, 1990 Mar 31, 2011. Articles were eligible inclusion if algorithms developed convert components into scores. Of 1,029 articles identified, 50 satisfied criteria. most frequent conditions where DSPMs included cancer (12 studies), coronary artery disease (4 osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (3 each), obesity, stroke (2 each). Most involved mapping items or scores non-preference-based onto health such EQ-5D. substantial number appeared include not covered by dimensions. Several identified potential areas richness descriptive system enhanced. It is yet unclear added dimension(s) would contribute explained variance score. Given resources required rigorously develop measure, need should carefully vetted.
