摘要: We have studied the ability of an intranasally administered whole-cell pertussis vaccine (WCP) without adjuvant to induce antigen-specific T cell responses in humans. Six adult volunteers were given a dose (corresponding 250 μg protein) by nasal spray four times at weekly intervals, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells assayed for proliferative responses. All six vaccinees had WCP-specific response, which them remained elevated throughout 2 month study. participants also responded filamentous haemagglutinin (FHA) antigen, inactivated toxin (PTd). A significant correlation between proliferation against WCP IgA antibody levels secretions was observed. This demonstrates that intranasal administration non-proliferating bacterial any additional mucosal can vaccine-specific related secretion.
