摘要: This paper reports on some bacteriological, ultrastructural, and biochemical features of dental plaque from children living in an area Morocco, where the caries activity is low spite a high sucrose intake combined with presence copious amounts plaque. The most numerous groups bacteria found were streptococci, gram-negative facultative cocci, staphylococci or micrococci. Streptococcus mutans, S. sanguis, salivarius, enterococci present numbers only. Other microorganisms encountered Lactobacillus, Actinomyces, Veillonella, Bacteroides, Fusobacterium. Attempts made to classify spirochetes basis their ultrastructural features. general morphology was compare well previous electron microscopic descriptions old Gram-positive as rods, filaments, occasional seen embedded matrix varying density. Aggregation between similar dissimilar types noted. Structures probably representing glycogen, lipid, polymetaphosphate inclusions observed many organisms. composition studied by protein polysaccharide analyses various extracts.
