摘要: Dyspnea is a cardinal symptom of asthma and may arise from several pathophysiological mechanisms, including pulmonary hyperinflation, stimulation vagal receptors, and, rarely, chemoreceptor stimulation. The language that patients use to describe their breathlessness provide important clues about the physiology underlying symptoms in particular patient. Several physiological derangements contribute dyspnea given individual. variability severity for any degree airflow obstruction relate differences relative importance these changes and/or range perceptual abilities asthmatic patients. One hypothesis under current investigation defective perception lead undertreatment potential greater morbidity mortality asthma.
