摘要: Eco-friendly and cost effective Al2O3 NPs were synthesized by a green method using leaf extract of Cymbopogon citratus. The characterization the was performed XRD, HR-TEM, EDS, AFM, DLS, zeta potential. To our knowledge, for first time, antifungal activity against various Candida spp isolated from oropharyngeal mucosa HIV+ patients has been investigated. potential assessed determining minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC), fungicidal concentration (MFC), growth kinetics, well diffusion methods. at which inhibit 250–500 μg ml−1 more or less no observed higher (i.e., 1500 ml−1) when incubated 48 h. mechanisms NPs–Candida cell biointerface interaction its intracellular localization further characterized SEM HR-TEM. electron microscopic analysis shows that not only attach to surface but also penetrate inside cells disrupt morphological as physiological led death cells. Due scavenging NPs, is mild towards tested yeast why these suppressed concentration. result obtained in this study fluconazole susceptible resistant C. albicans dubliniensis similar manner regardless their drug mechanisms. Thus, present revealed may be promising remedy development anticandidal agents play an important role sustained controlled delivery medical implants therapeutic coatings on implantable devices used orthopedics dentistry.
