摘要: The response of endothelial cells to the cytokine tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF) is complex, involving induction and suppression multiple genes gene products. Differential screening a TNF-stimulated, cycloheximide-treated human umbilical vein cell library has resulted in cloning several novel cDNAs whose protein products are involved primary endothelium TNF. One these cDNAs, designated B12, further characterized here. B12 encoded by 3.5-kilobase transcript induced rapidly transiently Transcript expression found be developmentally regulated tissue-specific manner, with message being differentially expressed heart liver during mouse embryogenesis. open reading frame predicts 316-amino acid sequence rich charged residues, particularly at carboxyl terminus, neither significant homology other known proteins nor any extent motifs. highly conserved single-copy which located q22----q23 region chromosome 17.
