Au surface density of states and surface core-level shifts in Cu 3 Au(001)

摘要: We have separated the Au surface density of states in ${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}$Au(001) from bulk and find that bottom $\mathrm{Au} 5d$ band is shifted up to lower binding energy, similar $5d$-band shift previously observed at pure Au. This suggests a origin ${\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}$Au for surface-atom core-level shifts, which same sign comparable magnitude both materials.
