Observations on the d-band width of AuAg and AuCu alloys

摘要: Abstract The d-band widths of a series AuAg and AuCu alloys have been studied with photoemission spectroscopy. main concern is whether or not the Au d band width maintained in these alloys. It found that concentrate (>50% atomic Au), alloy narrows little both Ag Cu relative to pure Au. At 25% (and less) concentration however, two hosts are significantly different. While 3 (ordered disordered) remains same as Au, (disordered) by sim 1eV. implication this observation discussed terms dilution chemical effects.
