摘要: While monitoring food intake is critical for controlling eating, traditional tools designed this purpose can be impractical when one desires real-time feedback. Further, the act of deplete valuable cognitive resources. In response to these concerns, technologies have been developed aid those wanting control their intake. Of note, devices now track eating in number bites taken as opposed more units such pieces or volume. Through two studies, current research investigates effects tracking portions at bite level on resources, enjoyment experience, and objective subjective self-control. Results indicate that using wearable technology portions, compared doing so mentally, (1) reduces resource depletion, (2) equally effective allowing users successfully achieve goals, (3) does not reduce experience. These results support viability level, which holds a potential implications weight management.
