摘要: Inter-limb coupling, a phenomenon whereby each of the upper limbs tends to take on characteristics intended movement other, represents limitation ability perform asymmetrical bimanual movements. Two experiments employing 16 dextral and sinistral normal subjects are reported. In first experiment evidence inter-limb coupling was observed during continuous rotary task. This appeared be asymmetrical, with nonpreferred hand contributing more than preferred hand, especially in dextrals. second asymmetries were found modified by conscious direction attention one or other hand. suggests that often reported strong asymmetry associated dextrality, weaker assymetry sinistrality, may partly due an underlying attentional former, relative lack latter.
