Birth weight and obstetric complications determine age at onset in first episode of psychosis.

摘要: Abstract Background Earlier age at onset of psychosis (AOP) has been associated with poor social adjustment and clinical outcome. Genetic environmental factors such as obstetric complications, parental history psychosis, advanced paternal time birth, low birth weight gestational age, use drugs have described bringing AOP forward. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between these in a sample first episode (FEP) patients. Methods Clinical sociodemographic data, FEP, parents drug-use habits mother during pregnancy patient before psychotic onset, Lewis Murray complication scale were obtained from 90 patients FEP. Statistical analysis was performed by means Pearson correlations, Chi-square tests, Student T-test analyses linear regression model using SPSS version 22. Results Pre-eclampsia, need for incubator forceps, an earlier AOP. Use forceps are variables which best predict Stimulant drugs, mostly used together cannabis cocaine, only substances Conclusions Our findings consistent previous results underline role prenatal period development importance careful monitoring delivery, especially cases familial history.
