摘要: World over, the instances where polluters are made to pay for damages they have caused environment on rise. If more than one party is found responsible pollution, our analyses of statutes different countries, covering 57% world population and 45% its land area, showed that liability be allocated among involved parties an equitable basis, often decided by courts. Analyses a number court cases factors considered allocation in such may classified into two, technical non-technical. It was also legal pollution from many due influence non-technical were very specific case. These do not fall under investigation purview environmental forensic expert who carries out investigations find parties. Based analysis, it suggested two-stage process; first stage being done second final (legal) court. clear guidelines prepared allocation. There felt need quantify remediability make remediation easier.
