摘要: Adipose cells are unique in the dynamism of their sizes, a requisite for main function storing and releasing lipid. Lipid metabolism is crucial energy homeostasis. However, regulation lipid storage capacity conditions excess scarcity still not clear. It technically feasible to monitor every process affecting such as recruitment, growth/shrinkage death individual adipose real time sufficiently long period. recent computational approaches have allowed an examination detailed dynamics using statistical information form precise measurements cell-size probability distributions. One interesting finding that (> 50 μm diameter) under positive/negative balance proportional surface area cells, limiting efficient absorption/release from larger cells. In addition physical characteristics quantitative modeling integrates providing mechanism cell turnover normal drug-treated conditions. Thus, further use mathematical applied experimental distributions conjunction with physiological metabolic state may help unravel intricate network interactions underlying syndromes obesity.
