摘要: Using diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging tractography, ventral (inferior longitudinal fasciculus) and fronto-occipital dorsal (fronto-parietal superior visual pathways were assessed in 7 patients with posterior cortical atrophy (PCA), showing either predominantly or additional cognitive deficits. Corpus callosum corticospinal tracts also studied. Gray white matter was using voxel-based morphometry. In all PCA patients, abnormal diffusivity indexes found bilateral inferior fasciculus fasciculus, a left-side predominance. Patients had mild microstructural damage to the corpus callosum. The 2 more symptoms showed right fronto-parietal abnormalities. Corticospinal normal, bilaterally. When studied separately, clinical impairment pattern of mainly located occipitotemporal regions, bilaterally; both deficits parietal lobe. Magnetic patterns abnormalities mirror closely phenotypes could provide reliable ante mortem markers tissue PCA.
