Formation of carbon nanofilaments from C6-C16 alkanes over nickel-containing catalysts

摘要: The properties of 85%Ni/Al2O3 and NiO/Sibunit series catalysts have been studied in the formation carbon nanofilaments from n-hexane, n-undecane, n-hexadecane. In temperature range 450–600°C, reactivity these hydrocarbons decreases following order: n-hexane > n-undecane deposition rate or over catalyst 450–600°C slightly depends on reaction temperature. activation energy is 10 kcal/mol that 13.5 kcal/mol. rate-limiting interaction a paraffin molecule with nickel metal surface. As increases to 700°C, rates C6-C16 are equalized, which associated increase intensity thermal pyrolysis reactions alkanes. resulting olefins, first all, ethylene propylene, become major contributors formation.
